We Should Have Recorded This: Trinette Lucas Launches Her Very Own Podcast!

You’ve seen her face on the billboards. You’ve admired her distinctive look from afar. You’ve seen her lending her voice to the voiceless with her passionate statements about colorism and how society’s ailments need to be vacuumed with the right awareness. The beautiful and brilliant Trinette Lucas who has stunned our screens and lit up our billboards is now ready to delight us with her sound bites of fun and wisdom as she officially launches her very own podcast!

Named “We Should Have Recorded This” Lucas has been dropping teasers and hints on her official Instagram of something exciting that she’s been working on. From pictures of her holding a mic and a newspaper headline to a fun-filled teaser of the first episode which features her closest friends, we couldn’t be more thrilled to see Trinette embrace the gift of the gab with each new episode.

When asked what prompted this new venture, Trinette said: “I am an avid podcast consumer. I’ve been listening to them for years and it’s my favorite content to consume. Whether it be a podcast on YouTube or Spotify, I always wondered where our Pakistani voices were. From people who look like me. From people who have the same lived experiences as me. When I recognized this gaping void, I realized that since this is the sort of content I enjoy, I should open up my own. A platform that is enriched with relatability and authenticity for my people.”

Trinette has always been known for being more than a model. While her uniquely beautiful look and lusciously long hair have graced campaigns for some of the fashion industry’s big wigs (Sana Safinaz, AlKaram, Hussain Rehar etc), she has always brought more to the table. From her two scents on a derogatory comment she saw online to remaining outspoken about the work she’s done, we can definitely expect We Should Have Recorded This to be a podcast that brightens our days and lights the way for those who need a little inspiration.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a very long time and I finally decided to do this. When it was just an idea, I discussed it with those closest to me who never wavered from giving me the encouragement and push that I needed. It was just the thing that dispelled all the apprehensions I held onto and it made me realize that this is much bigger than me. It’s about being that voice, whether it be goofy or serious, and hoping that those who choose to listen find the comfort I’ve always found in this medium.” said Lucas when asked how she felt in the days leading up to releasing her podcast.
