The last ten years have given Pakistani cingoers a list of films to love, and most of them have had songs that one can’t get enough of. From heartfelt tunes to lyrics that would make you fall in love with them, the last decade has been one to not forget!
But, out of them all, which ones have been ones that we would like listen to on repeat?

Main Tenu Samjhawan – Virsa
Before it became a huge Bollywood chartbuster, Main Tenu Samjhawan was a popular hit from the Indo-Pakistani collaboration, Virsa. The song hits all the right notes and was an instant classic from 2010.
Hona Tha Pyar – Bol
A much-loved song from the 2011 super-hit, Bol, the song Hona Tha Pyar is still a fan favourite. The song, sung by Atif Aslam, is mellifluous in every way and definitely makes you hum along with it!
Saathi Salaam – Waar
A song from Shaan’s critically-acclaimed film Waar, Saathi Salaam is one that perfectly mixes ethnic tunes with great lyrics! Also, despite Shaan’s countless hits against India, the song was first produced for Coke Studio India – Go Figure!
Billi – Na Maloom Afraad
An ‘item song’ that has had enough share of its controversies, Billi from 2014’s Na Maloom Afraad has been an instant favourite! The song hits all the right notes and is definitely one you’d dance to!
Shakar Wandaan Re – Ho Mann Jahaan
A song that is not beautiful to hear but also has an amazing video, Shakar Wandaan Re from 2015’s Ho Mann Jahaan is one for the books! The trio of Sheheryar Munawar, Adeel Husain and Mahira Khan looks amazing in the song and one can’t stop listening/watching it!
Ballay Ballay – Bin Roye
The 2015 superhit Bin Roye featured a brilliant list of songs but Ballay Ballay was definitely a stand out! The song became a popular Mehndi number to dance to and we think Mahira Khan made it look even better!
Tumhein Dilagi – Dekh Magar Pyaar Se
A rendition to a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan classic, 2015’s Dekh Magar Pyaar Se featured Tumhein Dillagi that is just brilliant! The song would make you feel lovelorn and that’s the beauty of it!
Dobara Phir Se Title Song – Dobara Phir Se
The 2016 film Dobara Phir Se brought with it many great songs, but the title song was definitely one to remember. The beauty of the song and video both complement each other perfectly and makes for a great one!
Tere Naal – Punjab Nahi Jaungi
The 2017 film Punjab Nahi Jaungi enjoyed rave reviews and the songs were one reason for it! The song, Tere Naal Naal especially, is one such example. Not only are the lyrics beautiful but Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat make it look even better.
Phool Khil Jayen – Rangreza
2017 brought a major list of films to the screen, and Rangreza was one such film despite failing to entice the audience. The film featured some brilliant songs and Phool Khil Jayen is one such example.
Sajna Door – Teefa in Trouble
A mellifluous song from Ali Zafar’s debut Pakistani film from 2018, Teefa in Trouble, Sajna Door is beautiful in every way! The song is one to croon to and we definitely can’t think of one better than this!
Billo Hai – Parchi
A song that we can’t stop dancing to, Billo Hai from Parchi will make you move like anything! The song has amazing beats, great lyrics and definitely an oomph factor to it!
Thaam Lo – Parwaaz Hai Junoon
A 2018 film that was all about looking at the lives of those in the armed forces, Parwaaz Hai Junoon was loved by all. The songs of the film too, received their fair share of popularity, especially, Thaam Lo. The song sung by Atif Aslam definitely made us hum to it!
Kooch Na Karin – Load Wedding
A beautiful song from the 2018 film, Load Wedding, Kooch Na Karin is brilliant, through and through. The song has great tunes to it and it definitely hits all the right notes in every way!
Tiri Pawanda – Cake
A Sindhi hit from Allan Faqir, Cake – The Film’s Tiri Pawanda is beautiful prose that just can’t get any better. The song has a poignant narrative going in its video, and it will definitely make you fall in love with the song.
Khilti Kali – Baaji – The Film
2019 brought with it a large number of hit films, and Baaji was one such example. The song Khilti Kali from the film will definitely remind you of the golden era of Lollywood pop, and it just doesn’t get any better!
Raag Murli – Laal Kabootar
Another ethnic hit that is just beautiful, Raag Murli from 2019’s Laal Kabootar is a beautiful rendition from Mai Dhai. Mixed with amazing music, the song just makes for one great hear!
Noori – Superstar
One of the biggest hits from 2019 was Superstar and all of its songs hit some great notes! Noori for example, is one such brilliant one. The song features Mahira Khan dancing to some fun notes and we couldn’t stop hearing it!
Haye Dil Bechara – Parey Hut Love
Hands down the biggest hit from 2019, Parey Hut Love’s Haye Dil Bechara made us dance to its tunes like anything! The song has all the right notes to make you groove and we really wouldn’t mind listening to it on repeat!
Bekaraan Ishq – Superstar
A song that would make you fall in love, Bekaraan Ishq from 2019’s superhit, Superstar, is just perfect. The chemistry seen in the video between Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan, complemented by the tunes and lyrics would just make you love it!
