With half the year gone and a major chunk of Pakistani films already been released, the cinemas have seen their fair share of ups and major downs with the audiences. However, with the next six months in sight, there seems to be much to look out for all!
From Meera Ji’s comeback to the silver screen to power-packed performances in The Legend of Maula Jatt, this year might have some of the biggest films on offer yet and that is enough to excite the movie buff in us.

Baaji – The Film
Yes, by now we all know that this is where Meera makes a comeback. However, there’s so much more! There’s drama, action and oh so much glamour in this Saqib Malik film! It’s like seeing the ashes of Lollywood turning into a phoenix and that truly has gotten us excited. If the trailer is anything to go by, this one may just be one for the books!

The Legend of Maula Jatt
A film of epic proportions in every way, Bilal Lashari’s The Legend of Maula Jatt is a much-awaited debut of our favourite Humsafar couple, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan on the silver screen together. That’s not all, the film has major Game of Thrones vibes to keep us entertained along with impressive performances by Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick! Are we excited? Can’t you tell by the glint in our eyes?

Parey Hut Love
After giving a powerful performance in Teefa in Trouble, Maya Ali has her star on the rise, and we feel Asim Raza’s Parey Hut Love might just take it further. Starring alongside Sheheryar Munawar, the couple seem to already be a big hit with fans, and we can’t help but agree with them. This is one film to watch out for, especially because of the chemistry!

Superstar
Mahira Khan’s been the reigning queen of the industry and her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan has only made her a bigger name. On the other hand, Bilal Ashraf’s been an actor with smoldering looks waiting for that one big hit. Is Ehteshamuddin’s Superstar going to be their tour de force? We sure hope so!

Heer Maan Ja
From Azfar Jafri and his team that gave us a bundle of laughs with Parchi, comes another romantic comedy with Heer Maan Ja starring Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq. Expect humour, expect goofiness, and most importantly, expect great on-screen chemistry!

Tich Button
Adding a list of firsts to its name, comes the Urwa Hocane-produced Tich Button which brings a stellar cast of Iman Aly, Feroze Khan, Sonya Hussyn and Farhan Saeed together on the silver screen. While not much is know about the film, we know that it’s going to be a romantic film of substance and that in itself, has us excited!
