The song also then goes on to call all of us, to come together to take pride in what this country is about – to commemorate the many achievements it’s known for.
Adding to this concept of the music video, the vocals by both Ali Zafar and Aima Baig too, add to its ethereal ethos. The duo add tons of power with their mellifluous voices, which makes Aik Qaum Aik Manzil not only a great addition to the list of powerful patriotic anthems Pakistan has, but also one that is modern and full of groove.
At a time when the world is changing and the need for unity and resilience is becoming an ever-important need in society, a song like Aim Qaum Aik Manzil, has become a voice that this kaleidoscopic nation needs. In many ways, this song will surely remind us that compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and the feeling of oneness is what consolidates Pakistan into one nation, and despite being a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and a multi-religious society, we’re one, and truly like no other country.
So, if you want to understand why the date of 23rd March 1940 was so important to the Muslims of the Sub-Continent, who exhibited heights of unity, faith and discipline and passed the historic Resolution for establishment of a separate homeland, watch and hear Aik Qaum Aik Manzil to fill your hearts with patriotism!
