On April 15, 2025, at the International Property Show (IPS) in Dubai, a premier global real estate exhibition, acclaimed actress Ushna Shah signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DHA City Karachi under her company Thornfield Hall Studios. This partnership sets the stage for Pakistan’s first purpose-built film city dedicated exclusively to television drama production.
The upcoming facility will feature expansive studio lots, pre-built drama sets, and state-of-the-art production amenities, introducing infrastructure never before seen in the country’s entertainment industry. By centralizing production resources, the initiative will cut costs, reduce turnaround times, and raise both comfort and quality levels for actors, directors, and producers alike.
Located in the rapidly developing DHA City Karachi, soon to be connected to central Karachi with just a 20-minute commute, the project reflects a bold, future-focused vision from both parties.
