The COVID-19 pandemic changed the world as we know it, and with it, came tons of cancellations and delays of many scheduled events across the board. This also included Pakistan’s booming fashion industry, which saw tons of festivities seeing a dark end.
Well, now, it seems, things are changing for the better once again.
The gloom over fashion’s sphere seems to be slowly fading away with the news of solo shows, awards, and fashion weeks taking the wind once again.
But what is there to look forward to ASAP and in the near future? Diva has the lowdown..

Hussain Rehar’s Solo Show
Scheduled for the 24th October, the young and edgy Hussain Rehar is all set to show his solo bridal showcase titled Nawabzadiyan with more than thirty five ensembles to display. Segmented between three sets – mehndi, baraat, and valima – the solo show will be exploring Hussain’s aesthetic sensibilities which intertwine the traditional with the contemporary.
Deepak Perwani’s Solo Show
Ace designer Deepak Perwani is also eyeing at the solo show in the coming month, with the second week of November set as a tentative date. The bridal display will reportedly be done at a private estate, and will boast 40 different designs between the bride and the groom.
Lux Style Awards
The most-coveted award shows of the year undoubtedly remain the Lux Style Awards, and the fashion circle can’t help but look towards it for their acknowledgement. The show, albeit digital this time around, will reportedly be taking place in November. There are a lot of things to look forward to, including a whole new online concept.
Fashion Pakistan Week
Fashion weeks are all set to return as well, and the first to commence the circuit, is the Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW). The Winter-Festive edition will feature a large number of designers, and is set to run its course in December’s first week. FPW will also be reportedly cutting down on inviting too many people.
Bridal Couture Week
The much-awaited bridal sensation Bridal Couture Week has taken a sabbatical from this year and will start afresh in 2021 in the month of January. The event will run its usual way with a plethora of bridal trousseaus being displayed on the runway in Lahore, and even will serve as the returning platform for Fahad Hussayn. There can’t be a bigger bridal extravaganza than this.
Hum Women Leaders Award
Acknowledging the women who have brought change into the Pakistani sphere, Hum will be celebrating the might of women with the Women Leaders Award. The event is scheduled to take place in March, and may take place on women’s day or close to it.
Hum Showcase
The premier fashion week of Pakistan that keeps design and innovation at the forefront of it, Hum Showcase is also reportedly all set to return in April of 2021. It was a cancellation this year, but it promises to be bigger, better, and more exclusive in the coming year. We can expect tons of edge, class, and luxury with the concept, like always.
