The annual invitation to the most exciting and fun filled wedding home has officially arrived and we simply can’t get enough. With each passing year, Annus Abrar’s penchant for designing pieces that cater to all styles and occasions has enhanced with every collection that has been put forth. This year’s edition of Ghar Ki Shadi offers us a glimpse into the wholesome moments that take place between loved ones as well as the excitable antics that accompany the fun and laughter in a home that’s gearing up for a wedding!
From seeing behind the scenes snippets of the Annus Abrar team hard at work while shooting the collection to their fashion film which launched last week, we’ve truly been in awe of each and every detail that has been attentively executed.
Let’s start off with number 1. The Fashion Film.
The beginning of the film shows us rhythmic shots of the pieces being worn by the brands muses (Nimra Jacob, Javeriya Hanif, Erica Robin to name a few). But then there’s a surprise element which makes the film different and relatable in its own right. When we feel as though the film will be a juxtaposition of rhythmic shots, a shot of a red video camera being grabbed by Javeriya Hanif tilts the film into the direction of depicting the fun filled moments that take place. From posing in the camera to breaking out into a dance and sprinkling rose petals all over, Ghar Ki Shadi’s fashion film is both lively and relatable in the most wholesome way. From their stills right to their various segments where each film promises to introduce a new layer of festive beauty, we are completely awestruck!

- The Color Schemes.
Keeping in mind all style preferences, Ghar Ki Shadi’s color schemes on their outfits are a clear depiction of the spirited aroma that filters into the festive season. From their classic whites and ivories to their bursting cranberry’s and oranges alongside their soft lilacs and pistachios, it’s apparent that the designer has indeed pulled out all the stops! We also love that there’s a range of black lengha choli’s, izaars as well as kurta shalwaars which offer a steady range of options for all who find themselves browsing the collection.

- A Sparkle or Two.
While most designers tend to brandish their creations with a sea of embellishments, we love that Annus Abrar keeps the comfort and charm of his pieces by using just the right amount that’ll balance the color and embellishment. From using classic zardozi and gota alongside block print and multicolored canvases, each piece and the image it brings naturally brings a coolness and balance.

- The Flexibility of Each Piece.
While we are still seeing the full pieces come out one by one on the designers official page, what we love so far is how each piece truly caters to every style in the best possible way. From their lengha choli’s to their izaars all the way to their colorful shirts, each piece from the collection allows one to feel comfortable and confident in their own preference while imprinting their style statement in more ways than one.
